The Whanganui i-SITE Visitor Centre is looking to add to its team of Visitor Centre Consultants. Don't miss this great opportunity to get your foot in the door into the growing tourism sector in Whanganui.
Reporting to the Visitor Centre Supervisor, your love for the sights and sounds of Whanganui married with an interest in tourism and customer service will be realised through this public-facing role.
To be successful in the role you'll be an excellent communicator that pays attention to effectively dealing with customer enquiries. You'll put time and energy into gathering accurate information to ensure you provide customers with sound advice. The role suits someone who is a team player and is interested in understanding more about tourism businesses themselves. This could be a good place for someone to start a career in sales, tourism or retail.
The position is required to fill an important slot on a Sunday and through your flexibility, you will cover other parts of the week as agreed with your line manager as opportunities arise.
Whanganui is growing, has a vibrant creative community and a strong sense of where it is heading. You will have a role to play in this exciting shift as we grow the contribution tourism makes to Whanganui's economy.
