Parks Officer
The Parks and Property team are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Council. In this role you will be part of a great team that oversees the operation, maintenance, improvement and management of Council parks, reserves, sports fields, and walkways of the Whanganui District. You will have responsibility for supervising Council contractors to ensure the effective management of environmental resources.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in parks management, hold a horticultural qualification and/or contract management experience. Your strong administrative capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Previous experience in local government is advantageous.
Above all, you must be an exceptional communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills to develop and maintain successful relationships.
