We are seeking an experienced performance and reporting professional to provide Council-facing leadership across the Whanganui Alliance and wider transport activity.

In this role, you will lead performance reporting, governance support, assurance, financial review, funding compliance and systems improvement. You will connect operational delivery with Council management and elected member reporting, while supporting NZTA funding requirements, audit activity, customer performance, data quality and continuous improvement.

You will coordinate Alliance governance and management reporting, analyse financial and programme performance, maintain performance frameworks, and ensure decision-makers have reliable information and evidence-based advice. You will also support the Section 17A review, future procurement programmes and the transition to new delivery arrangements.

To be successful in this role, you'll be someone who has:

• Experience in performance reporting, governance support, contract administration, audit coordination, financial review or funding compliance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and with influence
• Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills, with strong attention to detail
• The ability to build effective relationships across Council, contractors, suppliers, consultants and external agencies
• Sound judgement, personal integrity and a collaborative approach

Experience in local government, transport, infrastructure or an alliance environment would be an advantage, along with knowledge of NZTA funding, Transport Insights, AMDS, asset management reporting or performance frameworks.
